World Collage Day: Hi Its Ny x Found At Home

Uist artist Nyree Troughton is organising Found at Home,  a participatory event on Instagram for World Collage Day, Saturday 8th May 2021.

Started by Kolaj Magazine in 2018, World Collage Day  is an international celebration of collage. with artists connecting across borders against a global context of entrenchment and separation. And the day is about an art medium that excels at bringing different things together to create new forms and new ways of thinking.

Ny writes about her event:

Found at Home is an online event that you can take part in from the comfort of your own home. The brief is simple: create a collage(s) using materials found in your home. Everyday materials and household items are often overlooked, so raid your cupboards, bookcases and bins and make a collage! From newspapers & magazines to food packaging & labels (even food itself)

Create a collage and post it on Instagram using the hashtags #foundathome #hiitsny & #worldcollageday and make sure to tag @_hiitsny_ ~ I will be posting entries to my page throughout the day and will choose 3 lucky ducks to send a special Hi It’s Ny package to!

If you don’t use Instagram please email me or message me on Facebook with your entry ~ and if you would like to keep your collage anonymous let me know.

I want this to be open to as many people as possible, of all ages & experience so please share with your friends & fam
