Yasmin Davidson: The Roads That Lead Us

UAA

Jun 13, 2021

– Friday

Yasmin Davidson is a contemporary artist based in Uist, working in the field of painting, drawing and sculpture. Yasmin graduated with a B.A Fine Art from Duncan of Jordanstone University in 2013 and has since had solo and group exhibitions.

About the exhibition:

“For an island that is relatively secluded, living on Uist doesn’t seem that way. Working life is visible everywhere.

Each passing place on the small narrow roads carry their own vibrant and unique windows into island culture. People in Uist are very proud and stand by old traditions, work is very much always present here and it can be seen in the fields that have been ploughed, the waters that are being fished and the livestock  grazing beneath temperamental skies.

My exhibition is an observation of island life and the unique roads that lead us through them everyday.”
