It’s that time of year again: The days are long and the machair is starting to bloom. Our summer exhibition this year will be held in Taigh Chearsabhagh in all 3 Studios. There is no theme, but if you need inspiration or a starting point, the Hebridean Wildlife Festival will be running concurrently across the islands.


  • Deadline for drop off of physical works – Monday/tuesday 17/18 June
  • hanging – Thursday/Frday 20/21 June
  • preview Friday 21st June pm
  • exhibition properly open Sat 22nd June
  • exhibition closes Sat 10th August 
  • Collect unsold works after 4pm on 10th Aug, or Monday 12th Aug


  • You may submit up to 4 pieces – we will aim to hang as many as possible, and at least 2 of each members work submitted. The idea is to have replacement pieces for work sold.
  • Please let us know if you would like any plinths
  • All wall hung pieces should be framed, or framed out canvas, and supplied with secure fixings/cord for hanging as appropriate – Clip frames will not be accepted. 
  • Remember that you need to be a member to submit – so check and renew your membership if you forgot in December
  • We will have print bins and cards for sale in the gallery please bring these in when you bring in you other works – these are not limited. 

Please submit digital info so your work can be profiled on a UAA online gallery on our own website, and for social media for marketing of the exhibition and your work.  


Will have space to sell cards and small items – please make sure you leave a clear record of what you have dropped off, and that all items are clearly marked with your name and price. 

We will also have a couple of print bins for unframed works.

Digital Images:

  • All digital images to be at least 300x300dpi
  • Please, please, please amend the file name of your images to include: Your initials/name – title of piece – size in cm – e.g. CY_wintersea01_25x25.jpeg. We cant use your image otherwise.
  • you can submit up to 3 photos per work.

I have made some forms for entries – in word here; pages here; and pdf here.but you can also just send the info in an email – but please double check you have included everything…

If you have special instructions/requirements regarding the setting up and positioning of your piece(s), consider if you can be a small part of the Hanging Team.

  • Full selling Price – remember that all sales are subject to a 25% commission
    eg full selling price £100, Artist will receive £75, commission to TC and UAA is £25 

There are some labels here – but you do not need to print these as long as all the info is clearly visible and fixed onto the back of the work.


Remember you can only exhibit if you are a member, so double check your membership and join up or renew if you haven’t done so already. Our membership year runs from the beginning of December.  You can buy annual membership on our website under the JOIN button and  also download a membership form there to set up a standing order, so you don’t need to remember every year…..


We always need people to help with hanging the exhibition. It’s definitely one of those jobs where the more the merrier and the quicker it goes. We will be hanging on Thursday and Friday 20/21 June  – times to be agreed.
