It’s that time of year again: The days are long and the machair is starting to bloom. Our summer exhibition this year will be held in Taigh Chearsabhagh in all 3 Studios. • We will have print bins and cards for sale in the gallery please bring these in when you bring in you other works – these are not limited.

Will have space to sell cards and small items – please make sure you leave a clear record of what you have dropped off, and that all items are clearly marked with your name and price.

Our membership year runs from the beginning of December.  You can buy annual membership on our website under the JOIN button and  also download a membership form there to set up a standing order, so you don’t need to remember every year…..

We always need people to help with hanging the exhibition. It’s definitely one of those jobs where the more the merrier and the quicker it goes. We will be hanging on Thursday and Friday 20/21 June  – times to be agreed.

It’s a lot of information and well done if you have made it this far, thanks…..

Looking forward to seeing everyone’s great work again

Kirsty, Sheenagh, Cally and the rest of the UAA team.

In the good old days before digital – artists turned up with works and the hanging committee arranged them and hung them on the wall and then someone raced round the room with a laptop and typed up the details for providing the price list then and there.

The advent of also having online sales and online marketing has made all this a bit more complicated as we need to have information early to set up the websites and use for social media and marketing, and online sales require sizes etc and postage details to be included. All of this adds additional admin and time for your trusty UAA volunteer team, so if you can send us all the correct info in a timely and clear manner this is much appreciated and really helpful.

If you don’t know how to change the name of your images on your phone, I have made a handy crib sheet here. It’s based on an iPhone, but there will be a similar way to do this on an android or other phone, or just ask a young person!

Please note the deadlines and let us know if you are struggling to meet them for a reason. We want to accommodate as many people as possible and are always willing to stretch and hold on, but it’s much easier and less hassle for us to do this if we know
