Uist and Barra
Art on the Map Trail
June – July – August 2022: open studios, arts businesses and other events
Media information
The Uist and Barra Art on the Map event is an annual summer trail around artists’ studios, businesses and exhibitions. It runs this year from June 1 to August 31 (though some participants will open earlier or later).
Due to Covid restrictions, this year’s trail is the first event since 2019.
The artists are a mixture of professional and amateur, full time and part time. This year there are 30 participants. Geographically, there are participants in Berneray, North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist and Barra
Venues range from dedicated studios to more domestic spaces, from galleries to village halls. Visitor use our artists’ profiles to identify interesting artists and use the interactive Google map in each profile to find their location. A leaflet giving an overview of the trail is also available locally and can be downloaded here
