Art on the Map 2022

UAA

Feb 3, 2022

Dear All – I hope you are still holding on after the last week of storms and looking forward to the summer. This year we would like to offer a simplified Art on the Map.

A simple flyer leaflet that identifies artists and studios open with two categories:

  1. venues with standard opening hrs all summer – eg. Puffin Crafts or Louise’s Shoreline Gallery.
  2. venues that are open by appointment and where specific opening times can be uploaded to the website nearer the time.

This would be colour coded on a map, and each venue would have a picture and short description.

There would be a web listing for everyone with facility to edit or update if they are open with specific hrs for a week or so. and the flyer would have a QR code or other way to enable a speedy link from paper to electronic.

All participants can use AotM road end and venue signs.

It would be good to get a view on who would like to be involved, and if any of those would be willing to be part of the organising team. Even a little help helps spread the load, and to be part of the team. You never know it might be fun…..

If you are at all interested could you respond by email to uistarts@gmail.com by Friday 11th February– this is not your final commitment – but an expression of interest so we can asses likely numbers and participants – so please answer even if you are a maybe and not sure letting us know this too.

It would be nice to organise some focused events or activities around our Summer Exhibition – the dates tis year are 9th July to 6th

Look forward to hearing from you

Cally
