What we do

The Uist Arts Association was formed by a group of people interested in promoting and facilitating the arts in Uist. Artists, makers, writers, and those keen to support arts activities and appreciation, established the Association in 1989. The UAA was instrumental in the establishment of Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum and Arts Centre in Lochmaddy, and continues to be involved in steering the running and development of this award-winning centre.

Join the Uist Arts Association for just £15 per year

Membership includes entitlement to participate in the UAA summer and winter members’  exhibitions, held at Taigh Chearsabhagh.

Our membership year is December to November: if you join after August 1 2025, we will include the remainder of 2025 and the period to the end of November 2026.
