Siân Swinton

I am a multimedia artist exploring human connectedness and growth and how this is reflected in our environment.

Having returned home three years ago after a decade on the mainland I pay great attention to the details both around and within me that I took for granted in my younger years. Access to the ocean, lungs full of clean air, silence.

With an eclectic background in industries from journalism to floral design I follow my ADHD brain where it leads me.

I currently study BA Fine Art at UHI in North Uist while I work as Editor of Am Pàipear. I am also on the committee for the South Uist Highland Games & Piping Society and I am on the Lochboisdale Community Council.

Featured in Hot Bed Press 20:20 Print Exchange 2023. The travelling exhibition has been shown across the UK and will be hosted at Taigh Chearsabhagh in Autumn 2023.
