Kirsty Macleod is a very talented local knitter and ceramicist Louise Cook has been working on a joint exhibition, Porcelain Knitting – Islands in texture. It’s running from 20th April -1st June in Taigh Chearsabhagh. All her beautiful knitting has been turned to porcelain! What you are seeing in the photos are the porcelain once the knit has been burned out in the firing process, reaching a temperature of 1260c. The coloured squares in the photo are the original knit pieces.
The exhibition runs at Taigh Chearsabhagh Cafe, Lochmaddy, North Uist from April 20th to June 1 2019
